Vegetable Lo Mein

If you are not familiar with Lo Mein, Lo Mein is a Chinese noodle dish. The noodles are first cooked and then mixed with a brown sauce and an assortment of vegetables. If you would prefer to add a little meat putting in some cooked chicken, pork, or shrimp would be great as well. Vegetable Lo Mein could be a main course or even go great as a side dish with your favorite Chinese chicken recipe. Enjoy.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes

mashed potatoes

Almost everyone has their way of making mashed potatoes. Some choose to go with peeled or unpeeled potatoes. Some choose to add milk, cream, butter, cheese…and the list could go on and on.  Well today I’m going to give you my way of making mashed potatoes. Before discovering this recipe we use to just add milk and butter to our potatoes. That is basically the most common way to make them, but I think this tastes much better. The secret to these great potatoes is adding fresh garlic to the potatoes while boiling them. Then during the mashing process we are adding a few ingredients such as milk, butter, parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. If you’re in need of a quick and tasty mashed potatoes recipe for a side dish tonight, you’ve come across the perfect recipe. Enjoy.

Coleslaw

Coleslaw makes a great side dish for all of your summer meals. It goes great with fish, chicken, burgers, hot dogs, and much more. The greatest part about coleslaw is that it’s so easy to make. This can be prepared and in the refrigerator within 15 minutes at most. Basically all you have to do is mix the dressing up and combine it with the cabbage and carrot mix. This taste very similar to the coleslaw you would find in restaurants. If you think the amount of sugar might make the dish too sweet for your taste, you can use less. This is a fantastic recipe; give this one a try for the summer. Enjoy.

How to Make Guacamole

If you are wondering how to make guacamole, this tutorial is perfect for you. Guacamole makes a great dip, and goes well with just about any Mexican dish. At times I will like to eat my guacamole with tortilla chips, but I also frequently put it on tacos and hamburgers. There is nothing complicated about making guacamole, it basically consists of mashing together avocados with various spices. This is the perfect dip to prepare for the Play-offs and the upcoming Super Bowl. Enjoy.

Jalapeno Poppers

These jalapeno poppers make a great appetizer for parties. They are basically stuffed jalapeno peppers that are breaded and fried. The filling ingredients include cream cheese, cheddar cheese and bacon bits. You can adjust the amount of bacon bits to your taste. When you are slicing and seeding the peppers it might be a good idea to wear rubber gloves because they can burn your hands if you are not careful. This recipe can easily be double for tripled if you want to make a batch for a large group of people. Enjoy.
